SUMMARY: I first began working with graphite and sketch paper in 1994. Since then, I have produced tens of thousands of hand sketches, formal agency design packages and client presentation renderings. Below is a small, diverse collection from the last few decades. I continue to lead J Weir Masterworks by refining my communication with sketches, color studies and technical details to help inform the client, respond to the architect and guide the sub-contractors to precise decisions to where the project is developing. Working creatively by hand in the office and the field produces a quick, accurate reference point and fosters fulfillment. I am incredibly passionate about communicating clearly through my sketches and find tremendous value and joy in conversations with a roll of sketch paper and pens.
